Hilltop's Latimer House provides community education and professional training on domestic violence, intimate partner violence, sexual assault, stalking, family abuse, human trafficking, healthy relationships, and violence prevention throughout Western Colorado.

Our experienced advocates work with schools, employers, healthcare providers, law enforcement agencies, faith communities, nonprofit organizations, and community groups to increase awareness, improve responses to violence, and connect survivors with available resources.

Customized Training Programs

Every organization serves a different community. Our customized training sessions are designed to address the unique needs of educators, businesses, healthcare professionals, law enforcement, community organizations, and other groups.

Training topics may include recognizing the warning signs of abuse, understanding domestic violence and sexual assault, responding to disclosures, trauma-informed communication, safety planning, healthy relationships, and connecting individuals with community resources.

Building Strong Community Partnerships

Preventing violence requires a community-wide effort. Latimer House partners with organizations throughout Mesa, Montrose, Delta, and Ouray counties to expand education, strengthen referral networks, and improve access to services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, family abuse, and human trafficking.
